Platform features
EDGE offers a comprehensive control framework that protects your data in EDGE without
affecting the simplicity of its use
- Communication
between users and EDGE servers only encrypted through SSL
- No information between
EDGE and EDGE users is exchanged via email
- Only one EDGE
account is allowed per email address
- All system
access is logged and tracked for auditing purposes
- EDGE creates
easily accessible audit trails for rapid detection of suspicious or anomalous
activity

Physical and electronic security
All data is saved, securely stored and backed up in
multiple data centres that adhere to the most stringent global standards for
data protection
- Data is stored
in multiple data centres that are accredited to PCI DSS, ISO27001, and SAS70
standards
- The original
data is held in the UK, covered by English data protection legislation
- The data is
supported by multiple back ups per day and is physically stored in data centres
in the US and Europe, remote from the UK data centre
- Physical access
to data centres is guarded with keycard- and biometric scanning protocols
- Access to data
centres is monitored with round-the-clock interior and exterior surveillance
- Only authorised
data centre personnel are given accredited access to data centres. No one else
can enter the production area of the data centres without prior clearance and
an appropriate escort
- Every data
centre employee undergoes multiple and thorough background security checks
before they are hired
- Only fully redundant
servers, hard drives and routing equipment is used
- Redundant
heating, ventilation and air conditioning is used to ensure immediate backup
should there be any failures
- Every 90 seconds
all air in the data centres is circulated and filtered to remove dust and
contaminants
- Advanced fire
suppression systems are standard at all centres
- Every server
receives conditioned UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), with instantaneous
failover if the primary UPS fails
- On-site diesel generators are routinely tested on
the ability to run indefinitely if an extended utility power outage occurs
